Welsh Harp Education Centre Vegetation Management
Saturday 8th March, 10am – 2pm
Our woodland needs your help! Join us at the Welsh Harp Education Centre to help clear the plants growing and taking over our woodland and pushing on the fences. We will be using cutting tools to clear brambles (blackberry plants) and ivy to clear a space along the fence line bordering the allotments near the classroom buildings.
This event is for individual adults or families with children aged 9 years and over as we will be trampling into overgrown areas with uneven ground and overhanging plants and using cutting tools - it’s a little more adventurous than usual!
Stay for an hour or the whole event, but please come from the beginning so we can provide adults and young people with wellington safety boots, gloves and tools and children with scissors for cutting vegetation. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a warm room provided, bring your lunch if you like.
Please do give me a call to see if this event is suitable for you and your family, I would love to hear from you!
