<h1>Join us for Trusted Youth Allies training!</h1> <h2>Young people who have experienced or witnessed a crime need someone they can turn to-someone they trust. Led by London Youth, this training is designed to help the adults in young people's lives feel confident and equipped to step into that role.</h2> What you will learn...<ul><li>How to create a safe, supportive spaces where young people feel heard-whether or not they choose to report an incident.</li><li>How to guide young people through personal and community challenges and advocate for their needs.</li><li>Approaches that build resilience, empowerment , and positive decision-making.</li><li>How to recognize and mange the impact of of this work on you, including vicarious trauma and emotional load.</li></ul>

Young Hammersmith & Fulham (Young H&F) is a charity working to support voluntary youth organisations to thrive and deliver the best support for young people.

We believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and that starts with a strong, well-supported youth sector. So that’s our goal - to strengthen the youth sector in Hammersmith & Fulham by supporting the charities, organisations, and professionals who work directly with young people. 

We do this by: 
- Providing free expert-led training to help organisations grow and sustain their impact. Previous trainings have included Deaf Awareness Training led by David Buxton, CEO of Action on Disability and Trauma-Informed Practice Training led by consultant Kati Taunt. 

- Facilitating spaces for discussion, networking & collaboration 
In addition to providing high-quality training, Young H&F also creates space for community members to share insights, connect and collaborate through various events, networks and forums.  
 
- Giving our community access to vital funding. In 2024 Young H&F we gave £25,000 to seven supplementary schools across Hammersmith & Fulham, supporting educational initiatives for students from underrepresented minority communities, including Somali, Arabic, and Polish backgrounds. We also provided £50,000 in small grants to small and medium sized non-profit youth organisations, helping them sustain and grow their work with young people.
