Perivale Park Litter Pick - London Rivers Week

Booking information

Free

Up to 12 people

Description

Join us for a community litter‑picking session along the River Brent in Perivale Park!

This hands‑on event is a great opportunity to help improve local river habitats, support wildlife, and keep one of West London’s much‑loved green spaces clean and welcoming.

We’ll provide all equipment, including litter pickers, gloves, and bags. Just bring weather‑appropriate clothing, and plenty of enthusiasm. If you can, bring a spare set of clothes as well. No previous experience is needed.

Age requirements:

This event is 16+. Volunteers aged 16–17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What to expect:

🦺A guided safety briefing at the start

🚮Litter picking along the river corridor and surrounding parkland

🌿A chance to learn more about river restoration and local biodiversity

🫂Opportunities to meet like‑minded volunteers and enjoy the outdoors

Why it matters:

Litter in and around the River Brent harms wildlife, degrades water quality, and affects the experience of the community using the park. Even a short session makes a big difference to the health and beauty of the river.
