Join us at beautiful Foots Cray Meadows close to the historic Five Arch Bridge to help manage the ponds that are part of the River Cray.
We will be working in and around the ponds. The work will involve some actual in-water vegetation removal, but there will be pond-side work as well, such as tree thinning and bramble cutting for anyone not wishing to be in the water. There are limited spaces as this is not a large event.
If you would like to be working in the pond please supply your shoe size at registration so we can provide waders in your size. Otherwise please bring / wear your own sturdy footwear. All tools and PPE will be provided. Further details will be sent closer to the time.
We will meet at the Foots Cray Meadows Information Centre (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vPbbMRothX58cDfH7), (What3words location: wasp.grace.depend) Please arrive by 9:45am for kit, tools & PPE. We will return there between 12:30pm and 1:00pm for refreshments, which will be provided.
This is event is being run together with the Cray River Action Group (CRAG) at Foots Cray Meadows.
This is an event designed for the community to engage the local public with the river and not for corporates. If you are interested in a bespoke corporate volunteer day. Please visit our website https://www.thames21.org.uk/get-involved-2/corporateteamdays/
