ABOUT:

Relax, connect with others and explore your creativity with free weekly sessions at the Floating Garden, our unique wide beam barge in the middle of King's Cross. 

We are offering this programme to local Islington parents and carers who are experiencing social isolation and have restricted access to green space. Sessions will combine hands-on creative activities with mindful reflective practices, designed to develop wellbeing, connection and a sense of belonging. 

WHEN:

Starts on Tuesday, 31st October 2023. Every TUESDAY 10 AM - 12 PM. We accept sign-ups on a weekly basis, however, we ask for at least 6 weeks commitment. 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Cooking: Harvesting organically grown food, making simple and delicious dishes including family-friendly recipes. 

Gardening: Seed sowing and propagation, plant care, herbal remedies, sensory nature connection. 

Arts & crafts: Natural cosmetics, eco printing, textiles, weaving, clay moulding, painting and other creative outlets.

Mindfulness: Qi-gong, mindful movement, journalling, meditation.
