Free Mental Health Courses for Sevenoaks Communities


Sevenoaks District Council in partnership with Mid-Kent MIND and KCC will be delivering free training to promote an awareness of good mental health and suicide prevention. Aimed at all partners, community and voluntary sector, practitioners, community champions, safeguarding leads, health care workers, and volunteers in the community across the Sevenoaks District. These courses will give you the skills and knowledge you need to start a conversation with someone who you believe is at risk or might be struggling with their mental health. It will also provide information about other key Mental Health Services in Kent and Medway.

What will the course cover?

This course is suitable for anyone in the Sevenoaks district who is looking to manage their own mental health and wellbeing, and that of others who they either support, care for or encounter.  This is a very broad introduction to everyday mental health and contents include discussions on debt, health and employment.
