When: currently Friday mornings, however the foodbank is currently considering opening Tuesday afternoon

As a volunteer, you’ll receive training and guidance as part of your induction, which may include shadowing or buddying with experienced team members.

Some roles require mandatory training, and we’ll provide any support needed to help you complete it.

We’re committed to ongoing development and are happy to explore any personal learning goals you may have. Your growth matters to us just as much as the contribution you make.

What you will be doing

· Support stock control by weighing incoming donations and accurately recording all weights in the data collection system.

· Sort donations by date and food type to ensure they are stored correctly within the stock rooms.

· Carry out quality checks on all donated items and report any concerns to the Team Leader.

· Assist with organising and storing food within the warehouse.

· Help monitor stock levels and replenish shelves as needed.

· Contribute to monthly or annual stock takes when required.

· Prepare emergency food parcels for clients.

· Take part in ad-hoc activities such as promoting Foodbank donation drives in local supermarkets or at community events.
