Description

'The Seasonal Thames And Our Wellbeing: An exploration of the moods and landscape of the river through mudlarking and archaeology.'

Liz Anderson is a licensed mudlark who has been searching and recording the Tidal Thames for many years. The river is liquid history, rolling back twice a day exposing a range of artefacts and archaeological features from London's rich and complex past.

Its landscape is varied; bleak, beautiful, industrial, iconic. Meandering through the bucolic vistas of south west London, the Thames picks up speed as it rolls through the heart of the capital before winding east and spilling out into the estuary.

The river is both calm and serene, dark and dangerous. Like us, it is simultaneously strong and fragile; lifting our spirits, energising, thrilling. It has inspired people for centuries.

'The Seasonal Thames And Our Wellbeing' is a personal journey charting a year on London's most famous waterway, a river that belongs to all of us.'
