Description

What would you do in this moment?

A young person shows you a video of themselves online - but it isn’t really them. It’s a deepfake. They’re distressed and don’t know what to do.

How do you respond?

Practical safeguarding: real scenarios, real confidence

This interactive session helps VCSE staff, volunteers and trustees build confidence responding to safeguarding concerns in real-world situations - not just on paper.

Through practical scenarios and discussion, you’ll learn to:

  • Recognise concerns early
  • Respond calmly to disclosures
  • Make safe, proportionate decisions
  • Know when to escalate
  • Navigate modern risks, including online harms

Who’s it for?

VCSE organisations, community groups, volunteers, trustees, and anyone working with children, young people or adults at risk

Delivered by Andy Shield, Development Officer at Community First Yorkshire
