Description

Join experts in political engagement from Hope for the Future for an afternoon's workshop on engaging with local government for community and nature. We'll cover an introduction to Hope for the Future's relationship based approach and how it fits into the Nature Neighbourhood project, before moving into a discussion of how local government functions, and how we can engage with it, before finishing with a facilitated-knowledge sharing and problem-solving session looking at the blockages to engaging with councils and how we can get around them.

Hope for the Future is a Sheffield-based democratic engagement charity that works with individuals and communities across the UK to help people have effective conversations with their politicians on climate and nature issues.

This workshop is for those living/working in Islington, as well as those involved in Nature Neighbourhoods from Bournemouth and Birmingham.

Light refreshments available throughout.
