Description

Hidden voices in research

THCVS as part of the Health Determinants Research Collaboration is working with Queens Mary’s University London, London Metropolitan and University of East London to create closer connections between the voluntary sector and the universities.

Join us at the hidden voices in research on the 24th September between 10-12 at GC701 in the Graduate Centre in Mile End.

Are the issues of keeping well physically and mentally, health and wellbeing or environmental, crime and safety issues important for the residents you are working with ?

We are organising a networking event to bring the voluntary sector together academics from the universities to explore the opportunities for:

  • Funding opportunities through grants programmes run by the universities
  • Opportunities to get involved in research applications by supporting pre application public involvement or as co investigator.
  • Capacity building support for your organisation through MA and PHD students.
  • opportunities for local communities, such as training and employment

There will be an opportunity to find out about the work of the HDRC, East London research guidelines as well as opportunities to be involved in research with the NHS.

We hope you will join us at this exciting networking opportunity.
