Description

Enfield Council invite you to come and join in to help the trees planted as part of the natural flood management at Trent park.

Come along and help London breathe for the future, take an active part in the restoration of our landscape, meet like minded people, experience the beautiful outdoors, see some rarer wildlife and speak with knowledgeable staff who can provide insight into the wider landscape recovery project and how you can get involved.

What are we doing?

The aim of the event is to work together to begin removing tree guards and wooden stakes near the toad pond and meadow area. Some trees such as willows/alders have grown very fast since planting and no longer require the guards. We will collect some guards to be recycled and some will be reused.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide teas, coffees and biscuits to all our volunteers. Please bring water and something to eat for lunch (Trent park cafe is a great option for lunch). There is a toilet available on site. Please also dress suitably for the weather and bring sturdy boots/wellingtons!

An induction briefing and a health and safety talk will be given at the start of every event. Free parking is available at Trent park for the duration of the event.
