Young People’s free half-term workshop
Radical print: from page to stage
Victorians like the writer Charles Dickens were masters of advertising, with posters and playbills covering the streets. This free series of workshops for 12- to 16-year-olds explores the culture of advertising through theatre playbills or posters which captured Dickens’s radical ideas.
Join us to explore the museum’s current exhibition Showtime! create your own playbills, and craft your own zines exploring issues that are important to you. The second session of this two-day workshop will include a free Letterpress Poster Printing Workshop at the St Bride’s Foundation.
All materials and refreshments provided, and no crafty printing skills required just a readiness to get creative!
