Qi Gong is a moving meditation using simple, graceful and flowing movements. It's very similar to Tai Chi and means ‘energy exercise’. Qi Gong was developed in China over 3000 years ago and is still practiced around the world today. Classes are based on the seasons and&nbsp; our connection with nature. The Story Garden Project with Linda, Camden Adult Community Learning Create colourful artworks, handmade garden pieces, and playful garden creatures that come together as a shared Story Garden sculpture. This friendly 11-week art and craft course for older adults supports wellbeing, creativity, and social connection in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Each week, you will take part in simple, hands-on activities inspired by gardens and storytelling, using materials such as paper, fabric, clay, and natural objects. You will create a range of artworks alongside upcycled garden creatures and characters, using materials like tin cans, wire, beads, and mosaic pieces to bring birds, insects, and imaginative figures to life. Come along to our free Community Repair Hub to fix your clothes, small electronics and bicycles. Our volunteer Repairers will be on hand with advice, materials and equipment to help you to give your broken items some TLC.&nbsp; We won't be able to fix everything at the Community Repair Hub as some repairs may require extra equipment, materials or time. Our volunteers will try to give you advice and ideas on how you could get your item repaired elsewhere if it's not possible at the hub. What to ExpectOur day is thoughtfully balanced between indoor practice at&nbsp; Holborn House and gentle outdoor sessions in the fresh air of our nearby green spaces. <ul><li>Gentle Movement: 4 hours of guided Qi Gong exercises to improve flexibility, breathing, and joint health.</li><li>Regular Refreshments: Tea, coffee, fresh fruit, and biscuits are provided during our regular breaks to keep you energised.</li><li>Picnic Lunch: Enjoy an outdoor picnic in the park together (please bring your own packed lunch).</li></ul> Practical InformationPlease wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that's appropriate for the weather on the day (layers to keep warm/cool, sun hat/cream) and flat, supportive shoes suitable for light walking and outdoor movement. Please bring a water bottle and packed lunch for yourself.&nbsp; Accessibility: All movements are adaptable, and sessions will include plenty of time for sitting and resting.
