The Thurrock Community Fund - Smoke Free Community Grant is open to applications from 1st July - 29th July. We are inviting organisations interested in applying to an information session to find out about the grant, its background and ask any questions before submitting their application.

Thurrock Council for Voluntary Service TCVS is the Local Infrastructure Organisation (LIO) for the local voluntary and community sector organisations. TCVS provides resources, advice, support and information, training and networking opportunities to VCS in Thurrock. Training Opportunities

This sessions aims to raise awareness & understanding of domestic abuse & create Safe Spaces within our communities to access support. 



There are different training times available on 23rd July. First 9:30am, followed by 12pm, and finally 3pm.

Aimed at public and customer facing groups, businesses and organisations who are ideally placed to provide 'Safe Spaces' within our communities.

J9 Domestic Abuse Initiative

Learn basic first aid with our practical first aid training workshop, available both online and face-to-face. 

What is a first aid workshop?

This practical first aid training workshop, available both online (individuals and groups of 5-15) and face-to-face (groups of 5-15 only), helps adults learn basic lifesaving skills using everyday objects. The workshop is not accredited, but is a free and simple way to improve first aid knowledge and build confidence. 

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to practice hands-on techniques for administering CPR, treating wounds, and stabilising injuries.



The instructor will provide step-by-step guidance on how to assess a situation, prioritise care, and effectively communicate with emergency services.



By the end of the workshop, attendees will feel more confident in their ability to respond to medical emergencies and provide crucial assistance until professional help arrives.
