Keswick Weekender
Saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd May 2026
Introduction:
Welcome everyone to the legendary Keswick Weekender!
This Weekender has been designed based on feedback from previous events, my 10 years of experience of arranging these trips away and belief that the therapeutic power of the outdoors should be accessible to everyone.
Accessibility to me means many things; from the cost of the weekend to the feeling that you belong. From transportation to challenging any self-doubt. From trying new experiences to having someone who can actively listen without judgement to any concerns you may have.
Seeing the smiles on faces, watching new friendships being formed, witnessing self-confidence growing and being part of an inclusive group that lifts each other up is so rewarding. It is this that makes the Weekenders so special.
Below is an itinerary for the Weekender, which provides some details as to what to expect, what kit to bring, timings etc.
See you in May!

Sunday morning breakfasts can either be booked at an additional cost via the hostel or there is a Wetherspoons in Keswick which has been a firm favourite over the years. It opens at 8am and is less expensive than the breakfasts served at the hostel.
For those wishing to take part in the circular walk from Denton House to Walla Crag (10.5k with an elevation gain of 302m), we will be leaving from Wetherspoons in Keswick at 10:00 and starting the walk from there.
The walk is beautiful, with the views of Derwentwater, Catbells and the surrounding areas from the top just stunning:
Cars can be left at Denton House Hostel where we will finish the circular walk.
