Children are encouraged to investigate a variety of textures, sounds, and surprises inspired by the animals in the story, supporting communication and language development, early physical skills, and curiosity about the world around them. Through open-ended, child-led experiences, children can explore at their own pace, building confidence, anticipation, and early problem-solving skills. The carefully prepared environment supports the prime areas of the EYFS, while also introducing concepts such as turn-taking, prediction, and emotional responses.
