Join fellow volunteer coordinators from across North Yorkshire to explore how a people-centred approach can transform volunteering experiences and outcomes.
This session welcomes Becca Briggs and Hetty Nanor from Hambleton Community Action's Volunteering Team, who will share how HCA has reshaped its approach to volunteer recruitment, onboarding and support.
Drawing on nearly a decade of supported volunteering projects, including recent partnerships with Rural Arts, Carers Plus Yorkshire and Stokesley Community Care Association, they'll provide practical insights into what makes their model successful and sustainable.
Together, we'll explore how organisations can build a volunteering culture where people feel empowered, listened to and valued as equal partners in creating positive change.
The session will be facilitated by Vicki Sharp, Development Officer with Community First Yorkshire's VCSE Support team. Vicki brings extensive experience in volunteer recruitment, management and training from roles across the voluntary sector, education and youth work. As an active volunteer herself, she understands both the opportunities and challenges of creating positive volunteer experiences.
