Join us for our next in‑person National Lundy Conference, bringing together children’s workforce professionals.

We often talk about the importance of listening to children and young people. But being given the opportunity to speak doesn’t always mean being truly heard.

Children and young people have valuable knowledge about their own lives, their experiences and the services they use. Yet their views can sometimes be overlooked, questioned or given less weight than those of adults and professionals.
 
This year’s conference will explore what it really means to take children and young people seriously. We’ll look at the barriers that can prevent their voices from influencing decisions, what happens when adults and young people see things differently, and how we can make sure participation leads to genuine influence rather than simply being asked for an opinion.
 
Together, we’ll consider what needs to change in our everyday practice so that children and young people are not only listened to, but heard, valued and able to make a difference to the decisions that affect their lives.
