Course Overview:

This qualification is designed to increase learners’ understanding of autism and how to support autistic children, young people and adults in education, community and workplace settings.

Learners will develop knowledge and understanding of:

• What autism is and how it affects individuals differently
• Communication and social interaction differences
• Sensory needs and behaviour
• How to create inclusive and supportive environments
• Supporting positive outcomes for autistic individuals
• Understanding reasonable adjustments and support strategies
