Online Safety Training:

Understanding, preventing and responding to online harm is a practical staff development session designed to build confidence in recognising, reducing and responding to online risks affecting children and young people. Grounded in the 4Cs of online safety referenced in Keeping Children Safe in Education - Content, Conduct, Contact and Commerce - the session explores current and emerging harms.

• The session covers:

  • The 4Cs of online safety and the emerging risks affecting children and young people

  • Exploring harmful content, online sexual harassment, AI misuse, harmful contact, scams and sextortion

  • Creating a whole-organisation approach to online safety, prevention and community engagement

  • Using Relationship and Sex Education principles, filtering and monitoring, and trusted resources to strengthen safeguarding practice

  • Responding to disclosures without victim blaming, and knowing where to report concerns and access support

You will be asked for a £10 deposit, which will be refunded after you have attended the training.
