Navigating the funding landscape can be challenging – but you don’t have to do it alone.


Join us at the Scarborough Funding Fair on Wednesday 25 February 2026, hosted by CaVCA, Scarborough Cavaliers Rotary Club and Community First Yorkshire.


This free, friendly event brings together local VCSE organisations, funders and funding experts to help you build confidence, skills and understanding in an increasingly competitive funding environment.


Drop in between 10.30am and 2.30pm to:

  • Chat directly with local, regional and national funders
  • Network with other Scarborough-based groups
  • Learn practical tips and insights through short, interactive sessions.


Funders attending include:

  • Two Ridings Community Foundation
  • BBC Children in Need
  • North Yorkshire Council
  • The Woodsmith Foundation …and more to be confirmed.

  • 12.00pm – Tips for applying to the Two Ridings Community Foundation
  • 1.00pm – Evidencing Need for Funding: making a strong case
  • 2.00pm - Navigating funding opportunities


There will also be training on funding portals, collaboration and volunteering opportunities and plenty of opportunity to network over a cup of tea.


Whether you’re new to fundraising or looking to strengthen future bids, the Scarborough Funding Fair offers practical support, useful connections and expert insight – all under one roof.


There's no need to book but if is helpful if you do, so we know how many people to expect.
