Description

Join us on Monday 23 February from 12:00 - 2:30pm for a Behind the Scenes visit to the Port of Newport, the UK's leading steel handling port.


You will see the port in action, meet colleagues who keep operations moving, and gain a view beyond the port boundaries. The tour will show how steel arrives, moves through the port, and supports industry across the UK. You will also learn about the various roles and skills that are needed to ensure the port runs smoothly, as well as have information about the application process.


About ABP

Associated British Ports (ABP) is the UK’s leading port operator. It supports supply chains across the country through 21 ports, including Newport. Its ports handle a wide range of goods, from steel and renewables to containers and agribulk. This work helps keep UK industry moving and supports jobs in local communities.


Attendees will need to arrive by 11:45 for a 12pm start.


Light refreshments will be provided.
