Description

Are you planning a community activity and feeling unsure where to start with funding? This workshop, taking place at the Carers Centre, is especially for newly established groups or groups with little to no experience of fundraising or project planning.

Join us for a friendly, practical session designed to build your confidence. We’ll break down common funding terms like needs, outcomes, impact, monitoring and evaluation in plain language, and show how they link directly to the work you’re already doing (or hoping to do). The focus is on helping you explain your ideas clearly and simply, without needing prior funding knowledge.

It will really help if you come with a rough idea for a project or activity you’d like to fund, but it doesn’t need to be fully formed. Through guided exercises and group discussion, you’ll work through real examples and leave with clear, usable answers to the kinds of questions funders often ask.

This workshop is ideal if you’re at an early stage, feeling stuck, or unsure how to turn a good community idea into a strong funding application.

Spaces are limited to 10 groups, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one booking per group is needed, so please book early to avoid missing out.
