Description

Today we will clear bramble at Bentley Priory. This is to maintain and extend the species-rich grassland at Bentley Priory, one of the main reasons it has SSSI status. We’ll have two battery brush cutters and volunteers will be shown how to use these safely. We will cut bramble and then rake it up and create piles to rot down.

What to Bring:

Dress for the weather and the task – long trousers and long sleeves are advisable as we will be working with brambles.

Please bring a packed lunch, plenty of fluids, a hat and suncream if sunny!

We will bring tea/coffee and biscuits.

We will provide all other equipment needed for the event and we look forward to welcoming you!

There is a visitor centre with toilets where we could have lunch if it is raining.

Where to meet:

Meet at the meet at the northern end of Masefield Avenue, postcode HA7 3LY.

Please get in touch if you have any questions about accessibility. We will do our best to make this event as accessible as possible.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
