Samatha means 'calm' and is a traditional form of Buddhist meditation. It is a gentle but effective way of training the mind to develop inner strength and freedom from turmoil. The meditation practice taught in this class is based on attention to one's own breath and is known as 'mindfulness of breathing'. This type of meditation is said to be suitable for all kinds of people and this class is suitable for complete beginners.
The regular weekly class runs every Monday at 7pm from 15 September to 1 December. at Holborn House

Cost of the weekly class: The teaching is given for free. Donations are welcome to cover the cost of the room hire. The suggested donation is £7.50
