This walk will take us along the river then up onto the Lawe Top. Here (weather depending) we will have great views out to sea and across to Tynemouth. The route takes us down through the tranquil North Marine Park before returning to The Word via Ocean Road and King Street.

South Shields Interchange (bus and metro) is only a 6 minute walk from The Word. The ferry landing is only 3 minutes away.
