Category 1/2 Walk – Easy/Moderate. A selection of trial and path that involve little or no uphill and downhill. Total distance is 23.7km (14.7miles).
This is a walk and optional North Sea dip to celebrate International Women's Day
Starting and finishing at Seahouses Beach Car Park, we will head north along the beach towards Bamburgh - the home of Bamburgh Castle - the origins of which date back to 547 AD.
If the conditions are kind, there will be an opportunity on this part of the walk to take a sea dip at Bamburgh, where the views of the Castle and the coastline from the sea are truly stunning.
From Bamburgh, we continue north along the coastline to Budle Bay, following the natural turn on the land to a westerly direction. We will stop along this stretch for lunch, before swinging south inland and taking the trail back to Seahouses via farmland.
Back at Seahouses, there are a selection of coffee shops, fish and chip shops and pubs for some well-earned food, drink and rest before heading home.
Parts of this trail can be muddy and will also be on the beach between Seahouses and Budle Bay, so please wear appropriate footwear and have a change of shoes to wear to travel home in.
