🌱 Join Enfield Council & the Friends of Enfield Chase for Tree Planting at Rectory Farm


Enfield Council invites you to be part of our ongoing woodland creation project at Rectory Farm, continuing the landscape restoration of Enfield Chase. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or joining us for the first time, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a greener future for London.

Parking: Available at Rectory farm – staff will direct you on arrival

Toilets: Available at Botany Bay Farm


🌳 What to Expect

  • Volunteers will help plant a variety of native tree saplings as part of our woodland habitat restoration. No prior experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a reasonable level of physical fitness. Tasks involve walking on uneven ground, bending, and digging. Wellington boots - if you can bring your own please do

All equipment provided:

  • Gloves
  • Spades

Refreshments:

  • Complimentary teas, coffees, and biscuits
  • Please bring your own lunch and water (Botany Bay Farm Shop is a great nearby option)

An induction and health & safety briefing will be given at the start of each session.

Getting There:

  • By Car: Head north on the A1005 from Chase Farm Hospital. Turn right and follow signs for the Clay Pigeon Shooting Grounds.
  • By Bus: Take the 313 or W8 to ‘Roundhedge Way Stop R’. If you reach Botany Bay, you’ve gone too far.
  • By Train: Enfield Chase (1.8 miles) and Gordon Hill (1.2 miles) stations are nearby.
  • By Bike: Great choice—eco-friendly and healthy!
