Hybrid Nature Craft- Creative making with nature and circuits

Holborn Community Association and UCL’s crafting sustainabilities are pleased to offer a half day workshop aimed at fostering children’s nature connectedness through craft. During the workshop we will create a leafy lantern made with nature materials that children will forage from a local gren space.  The workshop will teach children to construct a light circuit for their lantern and to create artistic gel prints that give their lantern a distinctive identity. The workshop stems from previous UCL research which has found that exploring local nature places through the sensory, aesthetic and expressive medium of craft can support children’s nature connectedness.
