Description

Discover how to set up a simple, effective bookkeeping system that helps you confidently track your organisation’s income, expenditure, and both restricted and unrestricted funds.

In this practical workshop, you’ll learn how to build and use a clear spreadsheet, enter and categorise transactions, reconcile your bank balance, and produce straightforward in‑year finance reports. Using the free WYCAS cashbook - developed over many years to support small charities and social enterprises - we’ll guide you step‑by‑step through a system designed to make financial management easier, more accurate, and far less daunting.

This session is ideal for anyone involved in day‑to‑day financial recording, whether you’re a staff member, volunteer, or trustee.

With Claire Welling, WYCAS training officer since 1999, you’ll benefit from her practical, accessible approach to demystifying finance and strengthening organisational confidence.

To get the most from the workshop, you'll need to have access to a computer with Excel software and basic ability to use a spreadsheet.
