We’re looking for volunteers to help us understand how to engage more people with
Sustainable Wantage. In July, we held two successful kick-off workshops and designed three
small research projects with the help of some volunteers.
This training workshop is for volunteers who are interested in the Library of Things. The
current plan is to reach out to users registered on the Library of Things platform who haven’t
borrowed something yet with the aim of understanding what’s holding them back and what
might encourage them to borrow their first item.
The workshop will include some short training on the relevant research methods (survey and
think aloud studies) with time included to plan volunteer roles and next steps.
Jo (Sustainable Wantage) and Parky and Liz (University of Nottingham) will be on hand to
guide you through all the training needed and to answer any questions you might have.
If you’re interested, please do come along, even if you’re not sure yet how you could be
involved. We’d love to talk with you and there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.
If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to get in touch with Jo
(josustainablewantage@gmail.com) or Parky from the University of Nottingham
(stephen.parkinson@nottingham.ac.uk).
