Delvendahl Martin Architects have built a cabinet to house objects which reveal how the Lansbury Estate, built in 1951, is lived in, used, and cared for.
Lansbury residents, or people who use the public spaces and buildings on the Lansbury estate, are invited to lend or nominate an object for the cabinet. The object should be no larger than 35 x 35 x 35 cm. You do not need to give the object away. We intend to scan it and create a 3D printed version to display in the cabinet. It will then be returned to you. Ideally, we would like to photograph you with the object in the places it relates to, (your home, school or place of work, for example). Here is a more detailed description of the project.
With each object, we’ll ask:
What is it? Where does it connect to? Who or what does it remind you of?
What does it say about your hopes for the Lansbury Estate and its community in the future?
The end result with be a long-term, evolving representation of life on the Lansbury Estate
