Description

Join us for a good ramble from Hebburn towards Pelaw along the popular River Tyne Trail. Expect some stunning views up and down the river.

Full description of walk

After leaving the library, we will head along the main road just a short way before turning left and heading down towards King George's Field and the riverbank. We will then walk through the beautiful Hebburn Riverside Park, while taking in some long views up and down the Tyne. On return, we will take the path through Bill Quay Farm; look out for ducks, geese, Boer Goats, Pot Bellied Pigs and alpacas! We will then continue our journey along the river walk with views across to Walker and Wallsend on the other side.

This is a long walk; please ensure you have plenty of water and some snacks with you. There are several benches for sitting along the route.
