ASN Swimming Lesson

Water confidence sessions for 4-10 years with in water support from a supervising adult (parent/carer/guardian) Please note that the ratios are 1 adult to 1 child.

Not all children are ready for their parent or guardian to not be in the water with them. We recognise that emotional aquatic needs are just as important as physical aquatic readiness.

These classes are designed for children
- New to swimming
- With nurodivergent and/or emotional needs
- Have disabilities who would benefit from having their grown up with them

Our weekly sessions will provide access to a welcoming & safe space. Children will have the opportunity to explore our aquatic classroom. The session will grow water confidence.

- The session is run by Coach Keira, who works in an ASN provision and coaches for the Highland Disability Team.
- ASN children progress quicker with their grown up in the water to support them emotionally
- One class and no pool sharing with other groups provides focused learning
- Partnership approach, the coach works with the parent to understand and support your child’s needs.
