Description

Neurodivergent people bring unique strengths and perspectives, yet services aren’t always designed with their needs in mind. This practical session helps frontline voluntary‑sector staff recognise where barriers arise and how to create more accessible, inclusive support.

You’ll build confidence in understanding neurodiversity, key terminology and the range of conditions included. The focus is on real‑life practice, including:

  • How neurodivergence may present in appointments or service use
  • Common unintentional barriers
  • Simple, low‑cost adjustments that improve engagement and trust.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand key language around neurodiversity and neurodivergence
  • Recognise commonly included neurodivergent conditions
  • Apply practical strategies to better support neurodivergent people accessing services.
