Cycle with children

Would you like to learn to ride a bike with a child seat, or build your confidence riding with a child in a seat?

Riding a bike with children is something everyone can enjoy, but we understand that it can be difficult to get started. If you haven't done it before, want to practice it safely, or it's been a long time since you've been on a bike, we're here to help.

We have a safe tarmac loop, away from roads, traffic and other obstacles. which is ideal for learning to cycle with a children's seat & building confidence.

We will work on getting on and off the bike with a seat on your bike, how to get your child safely on the bike, how to balance and cycle with added weight.

Our friendly instructor, who has cycled with children herself, will be on hand to help teach / guide you, whatever level you are at.

We ask you to bring your own bike and children's seat. This can be a seat for the front or back. You can also bring a bike trailer or a tagalong/copilot trailer.

We will have four sessions: 29 September, 6 October, 20 October and 27 October. We can always add more sessions.

Afterwards, warm up & chat with others over a cuppa in our Welcome Cabin.

This session is pay-what-you-can by donation*: £0-10.

Facilities

We have an accessible portaloo toilet & facilities to make tea/coffee (for a small donation).

Feedback / Photographs

CCP may contact you for feedback after the session to help us plan future activities. Please let CCP staff know if you do not wish to be in any photographs. We use photographs on our social media pages and for reporting back to funders.
