Clyde Cycle Park

Clyde Cycle Park (CCP) is an ambitious project that is creating a high-quality combination of cycle circuits (for skills training, road-race, cyclo-cross, BMX, cycle speedway) on the River Clyde in Cambuslang to promote community, commuter and competition cycling. We aim to help everyone get on a bike, regardless of it is at competition or beginner level. We can teach people to ride, and help people grow confident on a bike.

Come along to Clyde Cycle Park home education group ! Do you home educate your children ? Socialise with other Home Ed kids and families !!Bikes and trikes available for all ages, including adults. We have a range of 2 and 3 wheelers to use, for children and adults. We have helmets available to use also. We have a safe 250m skills loop for people to cycle round and build their confidence, away from roads, traffic and other obstacles. Please make a donation on the day.

This session is group cycling lessons for children aged 4 - 8years old. We have volunteers who will be on hand to assist but parents are encouraged to get involved too. Everyone is different, and will take a different number of lessons to get cycling. Please make a donation on the day for the session, the suggested donation is £2 or £3. If you cannot afford this, please still come down. Children can bring their own bike or use one of ours, but if you do need to borrow one please let us know. Helmets must be worn at all of the sessions. Parents must not leave children unaccompanied at the session, but parents can use the bikes also - please check with a Clyde Cycle Park representative to get use of a bike. If you have children in similar ages, just bring them all along too. CCP may contact you for feedback after the session to help us plan future activities. Please let the coach know if you do not wish to be in any photographs on the day. We use photographs on our social media pages and for reporting back to funders. Thank you for booking into our 1 to 1 learn to ride adult session !

Our Learn To Ride Sessions last for 1 hour and are one to one with one of our experienced instructors. It may take you 10 minutes to learn to ride or it may take a few sessions. Everyone learns at their own pace after all. We can supply bikes and helmets but you can use your own if you prefer. If you have yet to purchase a bike for either yourself or your child our instructors will gladly offer advice on which type and/or size of bike is best suited to your needs.

<h2>BIKE CLUB 1</h2> Come along on Saturday morning for a coach led session for children to practice their bike skills, and improve bike handling and confidence through various cycling games and sessions contact us about lessons if needed. Booking is free, but please make a donation on the day to support our project. Children must be able to ride a bike at this session. Bike club level 1 is a class for improver cyclists who are competent at stopping, starting, positioning, pedalling, checking bikes, balancing and gliding ! For those unsure about child going for this class for the first time please attend this class which covers the basics bike skills. Please make a donation on the day for the session, the suggested donation is £2 or £3. If you cannot afford this, please still come down.
