London Rivers Week: Brown Girls Summit Walk (Women-Only Walk)

Brown Girls Summit is a community committed to creating diversity in the outdoors and empowering women from all backgrounds to connect, explore, and thrive in nature. Our mission is to break barriers, build confidence, and cultivate joy — all while fostering community, leadership, and fearless adventure. 

🥾 About the Hike

Join us for a refreshing city-meets-nature walk along the Thames 🌊 through some of London’s most scenic riverside paths! This route is a beautiful mix of urban and natural views — perfect for building community and breathing in fresh air together ☀️.

📏 Distance: ~12.2 km (7.6 miles) — a satisfying, social walk! 

📍 Route: We will meet at Putney Bridge Station. Click here to view the route we will follow.

⚡ Intensity: Moderate — suitable for most abilities, with gentle elevation 

🕒 Duration: ~3 hours (give or take depending on pace & breaks) 

👟 Terrain: Mostly flat, partially paved, riverside paths — nice for walking and talking
