What's on?
Join us for a mix of drop-in and scheduled activities throughout the afternoon:
13:00-16.00 Drop in Halloween and Wetland-themed activities (all ages):
14.00-15.00 Pondside Tales: Amphibians, Bats & Fungi
Hosted by Emily, Amphibian Expert & Glendale's Nature Conservation Officer
(Recommended enjoyment age: 5+ years - younger children under 5 may find it tricky to sit through the full session)
15.30-16.15 SoundScape Crystal Bowl Meditation
Hosted by Tracey, Red Ox Fitness
(Recommended enjoyment age: 8+ years to sit or lie through the full session.)
What to bring: A mat, jumper/blanket, and a small cushion for your head to ensure comfort - our body temperature drops during relaxation.
Meeting point:
Enter Northbrook Park from Baring Road and follow the path to the far end of the park away from the playground. The wetlands entrance is next to the MUGA/Basketball area, diagonally opposite the playground.
What to Bring:
Facilities: There are no toilets in the park so please plan ahead.
Nearest community toilets: Cafe Lokum (52 Baring Road).
The Community Cafe at the Ringway Centre (268 Baring Road) is open 13.00-15.00
Accessibility:
The spaces around the ponds are wheelchair acessible. Please contact us with any questions about accessibility - we'll do our best to make this event welcoming for all.
