Description

Pentagon Pickers Filthy Friday is a volunteer led Litter Pick around the Nook and surrounding area of South Shields.

We meet every month on the second Friday at 2pm at Pentagon Assurance’s office on Prince Edward Road. Our pick starts at 2pm with an introduction and safety brief before hitting the street to collect as much litter as possible. All equipment needed will be provided on the day of the pick, gloves, black sacks, and litter picker. We pick for around 1 and a half hours before we all meet at the litter drop off location in Temple Park for photos and debrief. Volunteers are then welcome to continue for a well-earned cuppa in one of the many cafes based at the Nook.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the litter pick, another reason we chose to do a litter pick is that we feel anybody of any age can get involved, if people want to come along and join us for a chat and a walk they are more than welcome.

No need to book just come along!
