Manchester Young Futures Hubs: This is an invitation for decision makers, services and young people to hear about the future of Manchester’s Young Futures Hub. Following the consultation phase, Youth Focus North West and Manchester City Council would like to invite people to hear what was shared and what recommendations will be put forward for the next phase of development. Furthermore, we are looking for services not already committed to be involved by adding their support.
What is a Young Futures Hub: One of Labour's first commitments when coming into government (2024) was to create a Youth Futures Programme. The principles within the programme are to:
“Create local prevention partnerships that will identify young people who could be drawn into violence and intervene” and,
Develop Hubs that bring together support services and make them more accessible. In doing so, hubs will promote children and young people’s development, improve their mental health and wellbeing, and prevent them from being drawn into crime.
Refreshments will be provided on the day, please contact the team on:info@youthfocusnw.org.uk if you have any dietary requirements.
Parking: There is free parking onsite but this is on a first come, first serve basis. If you're unable to park onsite, please go to the closest parking which is Cakebread St Car Park (M12 6HF) which is a 3 minute walk.
