To kick off London Rivers Week 2025, join Thames 21 on Saturday 31st May at Newcastle Drawdock for a river clean up with Mudlark and Artist, Nicola White. Combining her passion for mudlarking with art, Nicola brings lost and discarded items found along the foreshore into the limelight. Nicola has a Port of London Authority creative mudlarking permit allowing her to incorporate non historically significant foreshore finds into her artwork.
Mudlarking is an important bridge between the past, present and future, and our responsibility to the Thames foreshore extends to preserving it for future generations. The conservation of these spaces helps develop and maintain a deeper appreciation for it, ensuring that whatever we can contribute will in return give back its forgotten stories and artefacts. So come along and do your bit for the river, and have a chat with ourselves and Nicola. Join us afterwards for some light refreshments!
