Description

After leaving the library, our path will take us south through Temple Park. We will then cut through farmland towards Cleadon Village. Our return route takes us up Sunniside Lane, by the old water tower and through Cleadon Park. This is a lovely short ramble with some great views.

  • Distance: 4.2 miles
  • Total height climbed along the route: 165 ft
  • Terrain: Some of the paths around the fields can be very muddy. Upon reaching Cleadon Hills, many of the paths are of earth or rock; they are uneven and quite steep in places. Walking shoes or boots are recommended.

There are bus stops immediately outside Cleadon Park Library. Frequent services run from both South Shields and Sunderland.
