Join us for our Action for Silk Stream monthly volunteering days. They will be held on the last Thursday of each month.
Where to meet:
The Meads at the junction of Dryfield Road and the Meads - HA8 9JW.
We will be litter picking, in the river and on the banks.
We will also be looking carefully for Himalayan balsam seedlings and pulling them out if we find them to prevent them from growing on the river bank.
Please provide me with your shoe size so that I can bring you a pair of wellies – please email the size to Helen.Cardy@thames21.org.uk
What to Bring:
Dress for the weather and the task – long trousers and sleeves are advisable as there are nettles and brambles.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids.
We will bring tea/coffee and biscuits.
We will provide all other equipment (including wellies) needed for the event and we look forward to welcoming you!
