Welcome to MENCAP Youth Drama Club. We are a fully inclusive drama club for people between 13 – 25 years old.

We meet weekly during the school term on Thursday’s between 4.45pm and 6.45 pm. A typical session involves a physical warm up, a dance, games, some movement-based work, improvisation and story creating. All activities are adapted to fit the members of the group.

We work towards putting on a show for an invited audience of family, friends and carers.

We are currently working on an inclusive adaptation of the Blackfoot Native American Indian legend, “The Orphan Boy and The Elk Dog”, a fantastic story of an outcast boy’s journey to greatness as he seeks to find the mysterious spirit animal they call The Elk Dog.
