Navigating the funding landscape can be challenging – but you don’t have to do it alone. 

The Whitby Funding Fair, hosted by Community First Yorkshire and Eastside Community Centre, is a free, friendly event designed to help local VCSE organisations and community groups strengthen funding applications, build valuable connections and learn directly from funders and funding experts.

It's a great way to meet funders, gain insider tips and discover new funding opportunities all in one place.

What to expect:

  • Chat with local, regional and national funders

  • Network with other Whitby-based community groups 

  • Learn practical tips and insights through short, interactive sessions

  • Explore funding opportunities and support available through IDOX, our free funding portal.

Funders attending include: Two Ridings Community Foundation, BBC Children in Need, North Yorkshire Council and The Woodsmith Foundation, with more to be confirmed.

Drop in between 10am and 3pm to: 

  • Chat directly with local, regional and national funders 

  • Network with other Whitby-based groups 

  • Learn practical tips and insights through short, interactive sessions.

Whether you’re new to fundraising or looking to strengthen future bids, the Whitby Funding Fair offers practical support, useful connections and expert insight – all under one roof. 

There's no need to book but it is helpful if you do, so we know how many people to expect.
