Learning outcomes


 Delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a governing body. 
  • Understand the duties as company directors.
  • Understand charitable status and charity trustees' duties.
  • Understand the broader overview of other responsibilities of the governing body.

Trainer

Somanah Achadoo has developed and successfully delivered various courses while working at Voluntary Action Camden (VAC) and as a self-employed Management Consultant/Project Manager. He has delivered accredited courses in partnership with education providers such as universities and FE colleges as well as not-for-profit organisations. Non-accredited courses have also been designed and delivered to staff, trustees, and volunteers working in both statutory and the voluntary & community/ charity/ not-for-profit sectors. Some courses were commissioned by local authorities and others by charities, and some were developed due to the need of the sector and were self-funded by the learners with match funding from the Skills Funding Agency.
