Description

This is a warm, friendly peer-support group for separated and separating parents for exactly that: a place to meet other parents who understand without judgement. You don't have to be struggling to come along, sometimes it’s just nice to meet other people who get it.

Each time we meet, there will be a different focus. These may include topics on co and parallel parenting, communication tips, finances, well-being, managing emotions (yours and your children's) and family law processes. And each time we meet we will have time and space to:

• Talk about the challenges of separation and co-parenting
• Share experiences, ideas and things that have helped
• Feel less alone in what can be an incredibly isolating time
• Hear different perspectives from people who are walking a similar path
• Talk about the impact separation can have on you as a parent, as well as on your children
• Find connection, encouragement and a sense of community

A little bit of reassurance: This is a group for individuals, rather than a space for separating couples. We understand that the thought of encountering a former partner can feel uncomfortable, so we take privacy and confidentiality seriously. If you think your former partner may also be interested in attending, please let us know via the online form when you register so that we can consider this sensitively. A warm welcome awaits you.

This session is open to all at no cost, but we would welcome a suggested donation of £3 if you are able to. All donations go towards supporting the overall operations of the charity.
