Introduction to North East London ICB Strategic Commissioning

Join the North East London VCFSE Collaborative for an introductory webinar on North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL ICB), strategic commissioning, and the opportunities for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations.

This session is designed for VCFSE colleagues who are new to the ICB, want a clearer understanding of how it is structured and works, or are interested in how national policy and local commissioning developments may shape the role of the sector in North East London.

We will be joined by Dr Nnenna Osuji, CEO of NEL ICB and Charlotte Pomery, Chief Strategic Commissioning Officer, who will help set out the developing direction of travel for NEL ICB and the opportunities for VCFSE organisations to shape, contribute to and deliver this developing approach. The session will cover:

• Introductions and an overview of the NEL VCFSE Collaborative.

• The Collaborative’s VCFSE Strategy.

• An introduction to NEL ICB: its role, structure and relationship to the wider health and care system.

• What strategic commissioning means in practice.

• National policy context and the NEL Strategic Commissioning Plan.

• What this could mean for VCFSE organisations, including market shaping, commissioning and payment mechanisms, and delivery of the VCFSE Strategy.
